Accessibility Statement
This statement was last updated on 8/25/2026.
We at Psyche & Stone are working to make our site, psycheandstone.com, accessible to people with disabilities.
What web accessibility is
An accessible website allows visitors with disabilities to browse, interact with, and use the site with the same or a similar level of ease and enjoyment as other visitors. This is achieved through thoughtful design and development practices, the capabilities of the platform on which the site operates, and compatibility with assistive technologies such as screen readers, keyboard navigation, and voice recognition software.
Accessibility Adjustments on This Site
We have adapted this site in accordance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, and have made the site accessible to the level of AA. This site's content has been adapted to work with assistive technologies, including screen readers and keyboard navigation. As part of this effort, we have:
-
Used the Wix Accessibility Wizard to identify and address potential accessibility issues across the site.
-
Set the language of the site to English so that assistive technologies can accurately interpret and present content.
-
Set the content order (DOM order) of the site's pages so that screen readers and keyboard users encounter information in a logical, meaningful sequence.
-
Defined clear heading structures on all of the site's pages, using proper heading hierarchy (H1, H2, H3) so that assistive technologies can navigate content efficiently.
-
Added descriptive alternative text to images across the site, including product photographs of crystals, gemstones, and mineral specimens, so that visitors using screen readers can understand the visual content.
-
Implemented color combinations that meet the required contrast ratios, ensuring that text and interactive elements are clearly visible and legible for visitors with low vision or color vision differences.
-
Reduced the use of motion and animation on the site to minimize potential discomfort for visitors with vestibular disorders or motion sensitivities.
-
Worked to ensure that all interactive elements, including navigation menus, buttons, forms, and the checkout process, can be operated using a keyboard alone.
-
Ensured that form fields throughout the site, including those used for account creation, membership enrollment, checkout, and contact, include clear labels and instructions that are accessible to assistive technologies.
Ongoing Efforts
Accessibility is an ongoing practice, not a one-time project. We are committed to continually reviewing and improving the accessibility of our site as we add new content, products, courses, and features. We regularly test our site using a combination of automated scanning tools and manual review to identify and address accessibility issues.
Third-Party Content
Certain features and content on our site are provided by third-party services, including our website platform (Wix.com), payment processors, email service providers, and embedded media. While we work to ensure that these elements are as accessible as possible, the accessibility of third-party content is ultimately governed by the respective providers. We actively choose service providers that prioritize accessibility and will continue to advocate for improvements where needed.
